Publishing Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4 Results for Lonsdale School

Every school has to publish their most recent Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4 results on their school website.

These include details from the school’s most recent Key Stage 2 results:
  • average progress scores in reading, writing and Maths
  • average ‘scaled scores’ in reading and Maths
  • percentage of pupils who achieved the expected standard or above in reading, writing and Maths
  • percentage of pupils who achieved a high level of attainment in reading, writing and Maths
These include details from the school’s most recent Key Stage 4 results:
  • progress 8 score
  • attainment 8 score
  • percentage of pupils who achieved a strong pass (grade 5 or above) in English and Maths at the end of Key Stage 4
  • the percentage of students staying in education or going into employment after Key Stage 4:  At Lonsdale School 100% of the end-of-Key-Stage-4 leavers remained in education or undertook an apprenticeship. Destination details for KS4 leavers are suppressed and not published on the website due to small cohort numbers.

For Lonsdale, figures are suppressed as we have a small number of pupils. This applies to sub-groups of pupils as well as the whole cohort.

We do not publish figures if there are 10 or fewer pupils in the school’s cohort or figures are referring to outcomes for 1 or 2 individuals.

The Progress 8 score is suppressed if fewer than 50% of pupils at the end of Key Stage 4 are included in the measure.

Floor standards do not apply to special schools.

Schools are excluded from a Progress 8 floor standard in a particular year where they have fewer than 6 pupils at the end of Key Stage 4, or where fewer than 50% of pupils have Key Stage 2 assessments that can be used as prior attainment in the calculations of Progress 8.

School Assessment Reporting

The Lonsdale Assessment Report looks at progress and achievement of learners in academic core areas as well as non-academic areas and against whole-school performance targets. We use our New Horizons Assessment to assess, track and describe progress in all areas of learning. The report summarises the key findings from the data analysis for the previous academic year for various school cohorts (key-stage groups, gender groups, Pupil Premium cohort and others), anonymised results obtained in exams and accredited courses as well as achievement and progress linked to attendance and the correlation between the access to an extended curriculum in REP to the overall performance of learners.

Reporting on the Use of Government Funding

“Leaders make effective use of additional government funding to strengthen pupils’ academic, personal and social development.”

Ofsted 2016

The government provide school with additional funding to remove barriers to learning for pupils and promote learning and best outcomes for all pupils. The link documents on this page show how Lonsdale uses funding such as Pupil Premium, Coronavirus (Covid-19) Catch-Up Premium and Primary PE and Sports Premium Funding. Final payments of the Year 7 Catch-Up Premium were made in relation to the 2019 to 2020 academic year, after which the funding ceased.

Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disability Information

School must publish an SEN information report on our school's SEND Policy. Our SEND Policy and Working Practice document is updated annually and can be found under the About Us/Policies tab.
