• Lonsdale EYFS class recognises that for children to be ready for learning they need to be looked at as a whole child. If the child is uncomfortable and their welfare needs are not met they may not reach their full potential. 
• We encourage pupils to take an active role in all of their everyday activities participating as independently as possible during the time they are at school.  
• We have developed a ‘can do’ approach within class, which enables children to realise their success in all that they do.

Curriculum

We follow a two year rolling programme of study, in which we cover all areas of learning of the EYFS. Our programme of study is flexible to allow pupils interests to be incorporated.
