Royal Celebration Day 15th October 2019
Lonsdale School celebrates British values and the monarchy
On Tuesay 15th October, Lonsdale School was buzzing with excitement. The Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Robert Voss, and 11 Deputy Lord Lieutenants as well as a Yeoman Warder (better known as Beefeater) from the Tower of London spent the day at Lonsdale School to celebrate British values, the monarchy and the Commonwealth with the students and staff. The school was decorated like a palace, and all guests, pupils and staff enjoyed a day of activities, music, debates and learning about the Royal Family and British Citizenship. The day concluded with a royal parade and tea party with parents and grandparents joining in.
Lonsdale School would like to say thank you to the Hertfordshire Lieutenancy, Beefeater Lawrence Watts and everyone who helped and joined us to make this a very special and memorable day.
