Bendrigg 2018
Day 1
Arrived after our long journey north up the M6. Mrs Kelly bored us senseless by trying to teach us Geography on route! The spaghetti bolognaise was good, and then we had fun doing orienteering on the site. Looking forward to climbing and doing the zip wire tomorrow.
Day 2
The rain maybe have been coming down but that doesn't stop us climbing and abseiling. Great fun had by all. The rain stopped in the afternoon so we all had a go at flying through the air on a zip wire. See our pictures! Evening activity was a camp fire, the hot chocolate that Josh made was awful but the marshmellows were tasty.
Day 3
Storm Ali didn't stop play today, but all boating was cancelled on Lake Windermere so we went to Greenlands farm village instead. Where we met Madge the emu , Spud the dog, and Bingo the bunny. We named the goats Ginger, Ninga , Spot and Dot. The hot chocolate was better at the farm than by the camp fire....(Sorry Josh) This afternoon we did the giant swing and went in the sensory room. Tonight we are watching a DVD before getting a good nights sleep as we have canoeing in the morning.
Day 4
The sun came out and so the students got to go out onto the canal for some canoeing. They had great fun paddling and splashing each other. After packing, the students had a delicious roast dinner, before having their certificates presented. The final activity was archery which everyone enjoyed. Tomorrow we head back to school having had a brilliant week.
