Silver D of E Expedition

Silver Duke of Edinburgh Expedition

Day 1: Joe says the weather is sunny with a strong wind!! Today we walked 4 miles along the Cuckoo Trail. We left school very early and drove about 3 hours to Heathfield in Sussex. We arrived at the campsite at 3 o'clock, pitched our tents and cooked our tea of sausages mash and beans.  We then enjoyed a pudding of "log in a bog" (Angel Delight and milky ways!!!. The boys have one more lot of washing up to do, and then it will be an early night for all.)

Arrived safely first days walking done. Now setting up camp. Field to ourselves. Everyone having a great time

Day 2: after a windy nights sleep we got up and the boys cooked breakfast. We made our lunches, took the tents down and set off on our walk. On the walk we took lots of photos and videos for our aim. We enjoyed lunch sitting next to a lake with lots of ducks and geese. At the end of the walk we were treated to a much needed ice cream! We arrived at the second campsite, put up the tents and the girls cooked our dinner. We are now just relaxing whilst Joe listens to the football!!! Joe's weather report: sunny and breezy with a bit of cloud this morning. Not as much wind tonight!! We are looking forward to our last day tomorrow, another walk and then fish and chips on the sea front at Eastbourne.
